No, you still connect to the Internet through your regular Internet service
provider.
How do I get my mail?
You get your mail exactly as you do today, we simply forward mail@thatdomain.com
to you at whatever e-mail address you choose.
What if I switch to a cable modem or DSL connection?
No problem. You send us your new connecting e-mail address, and we will
change the server to forward all mail@thatdomain.com to that new address.
What will my address be?
Your address can be any combination of letters and numbers that you want.
If your domain is johnsmith.com, your e-mail could be anything such as
iam@johnsmith.com, soccer1@johnsmith.com, info@johnsmith.com. You just
can't use special characters like &, *, ", etc.
How do additional e-mail addresses work?
With one address, everything@thatdomain.com forwards to the same e-mail
address. Example: iam@johnsmith.com, soccer1@johnsmith.com, and info@johnsmith.com
all forward to johnsmith3569@aol.com.
With additional e-mail addresses, almosteverything@thatdomain,.com forwards
to the same e-mail address, but specific addresses forward to different
e-mail addresses. Example: iam@johnsmith.com forwards to j.smith@work.com,
soccer1@johnsmith.com forwards to bigkick@hotmail.com, and info@johnsmith.com
forwards to johnsmith3569@aol.com

Technical Questions
How will people know my new address?
In many e-mail programs, you can change the reply address to your special
info@thatdomain.com address.
This does not work within the AOL or CompuServe software, but you can
make this change if you use another e-mail program like Outlook or Eudora.
Everyone's e-mail program is different, but basically you go to "options"
and look for words like reply address or respond address. To find our
more, open the e-mail program, go to Help, and search for "reply"
or "address" and you will get the exact instructions.
How can I change my reply address in Outlook Express?
Many people use the Outlook Express program for their e-mail. Here are
instructions specifically for Outlook Express users.
- Open Outlook Express
- On the toolbar, click the Tools menu, and then click Account
- On the Mail tab, click an account, and then click Properties
- Change the information for Reply Address to info@thatdomain.com or
whatever you want
- Do not change the line that says E-mail address
- Then check your reply e-mail address by sending yourself a message
